Schools across the country will celebrate reading with community events from 15–19 June.
National Literacy Week will run from 15 to 19 June 2026 under the theme 'Every child reading'. Schools, libraries, and communities are encouraged to hold reading events throughout the week.
An activity pack for schools — including poster templates, reading challenge cards, and assembly ideas — is available for download from the learning resources section.
Highlights from participating schools will be shared on the hub and the Ministry's media channels at the end of the week.
